Bari Groep B.V. will be opening its first hotel Mesura at the end of 2022, in the district of Am Papierbach, Landsberg, Germany.
The project developer ehret + klein found a suitable hotel concept with Bari Groep B.V. to complement the culture centre project in Am Papierbach. Mesura will raise around the culture centre, a place that will become an attraction in the area. The plans of the new “Kulturhotel” were presented by ehret + klein in September 2019 and positively approved by the city of Landsberg and the design advisory board.
It will be the first Mesura hotel in Europe, a hotel concept that unites art, co-living, co-working and privacy.
The first Mesura in Europe will be a new 4-star hotel in the town of Landsberg, with 130 rooms next and around a culture centre. “We are pleased to have found Bari Groep as a first-class operator, responding to the demands and expectations of a city in the metropolitan area. The future guests expect stylish hotel rooms as well as modern co-working jobs. Landsberg’s cultural scene will also benefit from rehearsal rooms and apartments for artists. The innovative hotel concept will significantly enrich the cultural centre, the district and the city of Landsberg, “commented Michael Ehret, Managing Partner of ehret + klein, during a visit to Bari Groep in Amsterdam at the beginning of November 2019. The reason for the excursion which was attended by some ehret + klein employees, was the presentation of the innovative hotel concepts Element and Mesura on site. The joint exchange also served to provide in-depth planning for the future hotel in Landsberg.
In contrast to hotels of large chains, the Mesura concept is characterized by an individual and personal boutique character. Oriented to the needs of culture, business and tourism, there will be innovative office spaces, entertainment and exhibition space, rehearsal rooms and artist apartments. Bright, stylish and modern design ensure a discreet and at the same time appealing feel-good atmosphere. In keeping with the literal translation of the Spanish term “Mesura”, which translates as “measured and restraint”, Landsberg’s hotel design will reflect local elements. The opening of the 4-star hotel is planned after completion of the building in late 2022.
